There are many activities ongoing at the railway, especially as the season closes and the maintenance period starts. 

Loading Dock Extension:
We are working on extending the track to a new loading dock in the maintenance compound.  This will ease visiting locomotives and travel of our stock to other railways.

Engine Rebuilds:
Having completed an extensive rebuild of our 7.1/4″ replica of the Ffestiniog’s “Linda” we have moved on to refurbishing “Preston” our other steam loco.

Electronic Control:
Some of our members are experimenting with Arduino control of diesel outline locomotives, using the automotive CAN communication network.
