There are many activities ongoing at the railway, especially as the season closes and the maintenance period starts. 

Loading Dock Extension:
We are working on extending the track to a new loading dock in the maintenance compound.  This will ease visiting locomotives and travel of our stock to other railways.

Engine Rebuilds:
Having completed an extensive rebuild of our 7.1/4″ replica of the Ffestiniog’s “Linda” we have moved on to refurbishing “Preston” our other steam loco.

Our Petrol-Electric hybrid locomotive has had a substantial rebuild over the winter of 2025/6, and should emerge with new electronic controls and a fresh coat of paint soon.
